Netflix Is A Seriously Liberal Company

It doesn't take a genius to know that whoever is making selection decisions for Netflix is a dyed in the wool liberal. You see this mostly in their documentary section. There is an abundance of documentaries on topics ranging from the anti-corporate to how we are all killing ourselves with food unless we are militant vegans.  Also, these people have never met an anti-Sarah Palin  movie they didn't like. (The fact that more than one of these films exists is breathtaking) And then the gay and lesbian documentaries and movies. Wow. Just an
abundance of pro-homosexual, sometimes even pornographic films.

Here are a few of the fine selections available for instant streaming as of 5/30/13. Keep in mind you will find conservative documentaries and religious films... but for every one of those you will find this...

Grace In The Midst Of The Storm

Here is a family who filmed as they first stepped out of the shelter in Moore, OK after the May 20th Tornado. The reaction here intrigued me. Utter silence followed by "The Lord giveth and The Lord taketh away."
Maybe he was in shock? Maybe he really was lamenting his stuff?
I don't think so. I think he was thrilled to see what he survived with his family. Houses can be rebuilt. Life is sacred and I think inside he was rejoicing to be breathing.

Here's the video...

Doctor Who Did 1,200 Abortions Tells Congress to Ban Them

Dr. Anthony Levatino is a pro-life physician from New Mexico but, before having a change of heart on the issue of abortion he was an OBGYN who also performed abortions.
Levatino did as many as 1,200 abortions — some of them after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Then, after his daughter died in a tragic automobile accident, he re-evaluated his position on abortion and stopped doing abortions.
Today, Dr. Levatino told members of a Congressional committee that they should support a bill sponsored by Rep. Trent Franks that would ban abortions nationwide aft 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Conspiracy Theories

Here's what I believe this week...

* The automated bathroom products industry is scamming you by making you believe you need to have an automated soap dispenser. But think about it for a second... You are about to wash your hands. Any germs acquired are about to disappear along with germs you just got from touching that nasty wrinkled up dollar bill in your pocket. The automated towel dispenser is important, as well as the automatic flush... the automated soap dispenser is a massive government conspiracy.

* The weed-eater industry got together in 1945 and vowed only to make weed-eaters that don't work for longer than a couple of minutes. And the companies that are laughing the hardest are the ones that have that spring loaded string dispenser that supposedly lets out more string if you tap the head on the ground. Think about it.. has that ever worked for anyone? Ever?

* John F. Kennedy was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald who actually was hired by Robert F. Kennedy to make the hit. What Robert F. Kennedy didn't know was that Lee Harvey Oswald called James Earl Ray prior to the assassination and paid for a hit on Martin Luther King. But after the assassination Lee Harvey Oswald changed his mind and planned to get the message to James Earl Ray to cancel the hit, unfortunately, Jack Ruby messed up those plans. What none of them knew was that on November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy met a young Palestinian named Sirhan Sirhan in private at the Dallas airport to order a hit on Robert F. Kennedy in the event of his untimely death.  Why did all this happen? Each of them thought using the full 2 names was going to be, as they put it, "my thing". But none of them would back down. I mean what would you have done?

More Nudity and Profanity Coming To Your Kid's TV Viewing Time

If you haven't already shut off your cable and thrown away your "rabbit ears", you might want to do so immediately... This is sick, but is it really surprising?

From Fox News
If you thought that our television channels were already saturated with enough sex, vulgarity and profanity, you may want to brace yourself – the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is proposing changes to its guidelines that would allow more racy content to infiltrate the small screen during hours when kids could tune in.
A public notice posted on the regulatory agency’s website last month said that FCC is launching a review that may end the prohibition of expletives and certain images of nudity on television. The FCC had first given the public until May 20 to weigh in on the hot-button issue, but that deadline was recently extended to June 19.
And in overwhelming numbers, Americans have been quick to express their outrage over the potential changes, which could pave the way to more adult themes on prime-time programs. The FCC has received almost 95,000 comments on this proposal, whereas the next highest active proceeding has a mere 320 comments.
“Today’s television programming already goes well beyond the content parameters most parents find acceptable. No parent, after watching a program with their children says, ‘you know, that sure would have been a better program if they’d only thrown some nudity and profanity in there,’” said Bryan Fischer, director of issues analysis at the American Family Association. “The pressure is coming from the broadcast networks, who don’t want to be accountable to anyone for content. But the airwaves are owned by the American people, and the FCC is supposed to be a responsible steward of the airwaves for their true owners.”
So what exactly would the potential changes mean?
“Prime time television will start looking more like cable television in terms of language and content,” John Conway, entertainment attorney and CEO of Astonish Media Group, told FOX 411’s Pop Tarts column. “I’m sure networks will test limits for ratings as they do now, but I think the American public will keep the worst outrages in check as they do now.”
And in an Opinion piece for FoxNews.com last week, Penny Young Nance – who most recently served as President of Nance and Associates and as Special Adviser for the FCC – stated that it was “unfathomable to think the FCC actually wants to allow more filth, such as frontal female nudity, the F-bomb, and the ‘S’ word on broadcast television during hours when our kids will be watching and listening.”
The Parents Television Council (PTC) is expressing concern over the FCC’s proposal, as well. The organization declared last week “#NoIndecencyFCC Week,” and encouraged the public to file comments to the Commission and tweet their concerns.
The PTC, along with a 75 member coalition representing millions of Americans, also sent a letter to members of the U.S Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the U.S House Committee on Energy and Commerce, urging them to oppose the FCC’s proposed amendments to weaken enforcement of the broadcast indecency law.
“There’s an enormous amount of TV content that parents are going to find problematic, offensive or even harmful to their children. The broadcast indecency law is only meant to deal with the worst of the worst TV and radio content to begin with and now the FCC says it doesn’t even want to deal with that,” said Dan Isett, director of public policy for the PTC.
“It would be grossly irresponsible for the FCC to allow this. If the FCC drops the standard, the networks will give us all the profanity and nudity they think they can get away with, and they’d just keep pushing the envelope,” Fischer added.
On that note, there is some concern that if the changes pass, the increase in lewd and body-baring programming could have long-term effects on young viewers.
“We can debate what those effects are, but we know that the harm exists,” Isett insisted.
However, Conway argued that the projected deregulation probably would not be any more detrimental to children that what is already being showed in movies, cable, videogame, the Internet and other media outlets.
“If there is harm being done, it is probably already being done elsewhere,” he said.
But if there is a silver lining to be found in the proposed changes, Jim Steyer, CEO and Founder of Common Sense Media – an organization that seeks to provide families with trustworthy information and education – said the changes could encourage parents to be more aware of what their kids are watching.

Where Was God During The Tornado?

Let me post this disclaimer first: It's easy for me to post this when I am over 100 miles away from the path of destruction that took place in OKC yesterday. If I was walking around with no home, one of my children were dead, and maybe both.. It would be much much harder. That's where the true test comes, and I am not convinced I would pass with flying colors.

The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away. -- Psalm 90:10

Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him -- Job13:15

Yesterday a massive tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma. A suburb of Oklahoma City. I live in Wichita, KS. Sunday afternoon myself, my fiance and my future step-daughter huddled in the bathtub as a potentially lethal tornado started to form in SW Wichita but then lifted just as quickly. When you are in shelter like that, you don't know what is happening outside. You have no idea if a major tornado is forming or if it's all clear. So you pray just the same as if your life may be in danger.

So the question is.. Where is God when unspeakable tragedy happens?

The answer is simple yet complicated. God is right where we ask Him to be.

If I am walking with Him daily, praying, reading, studying, communing then God is going to be right there with me. He may decide to save us from destruction. He may have decided that it's our time to go. If it's our time He will hold our hand and be there with us, comforting us and bringing peace until we wake up with Him in Glory. If we are mangled in the hospital and have major injuries.. HE will bring the strength to carry on. If we lose a spouse or, God-forbid, a child.. HE will give us the strength to carry on, somehow, someway. Only He can give that kind of provision. FEMA, Obama, television, wealth, doctors... all these things will ultimately fall short on their own unless God uses them as a tool of his Mercy. We asked Him to be there, He is there.

However, IF we spend our days praising the world, loving the world, living like God is an afterthought or even, like we see so often, living as a proud and loud atheist. Then God will be exactly where we asked Him to be, even as we cry out in the midst of the destruction. It does not mean that God will not save us, it simply means that it will only be by His mercy alone. Also, it doesn't mean that you cannot be saved in the midst of the problem. Many people turn to God during tragedy, they are forever changed when their lives are disrupted in such a manner and turn to Him and are saved. But, it doesn't mean you can live like hell until you need God like sending out the Bat Signal and expecting Him to show up.

We are appointed a time to live and a time to die. None of us have any idea when are time is up. Turn to Him now. He loves all of us and does not want any of us to perish. The Bible confirms this time and time again. Stop calling to Him only when you need a favor. Don't wait until it's too late.

I hope you find comfort in this and not condemnation. God, for me, is a beacon of hope. I know that I will meet the same end as everyone else. But I can look at death and smile, because I know it has no ultimate power over me.

“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. -- 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

Prayer For Oklahoma

A MASSIVE 2.5 mile wide tornado has devastated Moore Oklahoma. From what I can see, my guess is that possibly hundreds are dead.

Heavenly Father,
We ask for your provision and safety for this community. We trust you that you are in control and you have a purpose in all of this. Please keep those safe that are in critical condition that they may be saved and have a chance to find You and impact their world. We pray that those who have nothing left can find solace in the fact that they are still alive. We pray that they will be able to get a new home and move on from this. Please help us all who were not affected to give sacrificially to help this community. Let Your will be done!
In Jesus' name,  Amen

How Did We Get Here?

Leonard Ravenhill Quotes

What a man Leonard Ravenhill was. He inspired Ravi Zacharias, Paul Washer, Charles Stanley, David Wilkerson and many more. His preaching led many to Christ during WWII. His main theme was how backslidden the Church is today in comparison with the New Testament church... Something of which I agree wholeheartedly.

Here's a few of his great quotes from his books and sermons:

The world has lost the power to blush over its vice; the Church has lost her power to weep over it.

Many of us are hunting mice - while lions devour the land.

Is the world crucified to you tonight? Or does it fascinate you?

Many pastors criticize me for taking the Gospel so seriously. But do they really think that on Judgment Day, Christ will chastise me, saying, 'Leonard, you took Me too seriously'?

"A sinning man stops praying, a praying man stops sinning"

When there's something in the Bible that churches don't like, they call it 'legalism.'

"If Jesus had preached the same message that ministers preach today, He would never have been crucified."

"Entertainment is the devil's substitute for joy"

"The Church used to be a lifeboat rescuing the perishing. Now she is a cruise ship recruiting the promising."

Our God is a consuming fire. He consumes pride, lust, materialism, and other sin.

Notice, we never pray for folks we gossip about, and we never gossip about the folk for whom we pray! For prayer is a great deterrent.

Why do we expect to be better treated in this world than Jesus was?

To be much for God, we must be much with God. Jesus, that lone figure in the wilderness, knew strong crying, along with tears. Can one be moved with compassion and not know tears? Jeremiah was a sobbing saint. Jesus wept! So did Paul. So did John. Though there are some tearful intercessors behind the scenes, I grant you that to our modern Christianity, praying is foreign.

You never have to advertise a fire. Everyone comes running when there's a fire. Likewise, if your church is on fire, you will not have to advertise it. The community will already know it.

The Bible is either absolute, or it's obsolete.

God's Judgment Is Coming

For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief;

This May Sound Stupid

That's it! I am going to throw on a Metallica T-shirt, head down to the River Festival, and go play hackey sack with the goth kids under the bridge... because you normals just don't get me!

I have a cold or swine flu maybe. i have been craving bacon lately.

My dad once told me that if someone at school flips me off, and they are holding up that middle finger, I should just say.."...is that how many friends you had before your dog died?" I remember trying it the next day and getting beat up pretty bad.

I want to go back to 5th grade and play Oregon Trail and Number Munchers in the computer lab.

There are more smashed squirrels on the streets of Wichita then there are people. I almost guarantee it.

I hope all you girls who take these quizzes on here don't actually think the results are accurate  A Facebook application doesn't actually know which Smurf you would be.

My trick knee is acting up... storm is a brewin.. gonna be a big un!

Don't worry everyone. I'm gonna fight a tornado.

 I smell pie.

I remember that they would make us buy watercolor paint for school. And then we would use it only like once a year. What a waste. Government schools.

R.C. Sproul On Nietzsche

This is classic R.C. Sproul. I read his book The Consequence of Ideas many years ago as a post-teenager. Back when my best friends were leaving the church, and some rejecting Christ.. I was moving out of my parent's house, trying to find the answers to life's big questions. I had been a Christian since age 6 or 7 however I knew very little except for stock answers giving to me by well-meaning Godly Sunday School teachers. Suddenly, God brought two men into my life to guide me back to where I needed to go: Ravi Zacharias, and R.C. Sproul. I read everything I could get my hands on, I listened to tapes of sermons, I bought VHS movies of these two preaching very tough to understand sermons on deep philosophical issues. But Christ knew it was what I needed to move on to growth in my Faith.
I held up in my 550 Sq ft apartment and read and watched even sometimes on Friday and Saturday nights.

This video was my first time hearing the name Friedrich Nietzsche or the word "Existentialism".

Classic R.C. Sproul.. I encourage you to watch this and learn some basic philosophical truth!

Creepy Guy In The Background On Antiques Roadshow

What's up with this weirdo?

Fun Facts

* Girls usually with dark rimmed glasses who read obscure novels and eat sushi find it impossible to not tell everyone they know on facebook when they are reading an obscure novel or eating sushi. It's a mix of elitism and a constant need for praise.

* Never trust anyone that owns their own pool cue.

* Bees work their entire lives for the queen and are unconditionally loyal to the hive. However, have we ever isolated one bee and offered it endless honey in exchange for him ratting out the ones that sting us for no reason? We could get him to wear a wire.

The Best John Piper Quotes

“One of the great uses of Twitter and Facebook will be to prove at the Last Day that prayerlessness was not from lack of time.”
― John Piper

“If you don't feel strong desires for the manifestation of the glory of God, it is not because you have drunk deeply and are satisfied. It is because you have nibbled so long at the table of the world. Your soul is stuffed with small things, and there is no room for the great.”
― John PiperA Hunger For God

“It is better to lose your life than to waste it.”
― John Piper

“God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him”
― John Piper

“Death is like my car. It takes me where I want to go.”
― John Piper

“The greatest enemy of hunger for God is not poison but apple pie.
It is not the banquet of the wicked that dulls our appetite for
heaven, but endless nibbling at the table of the world. It is not
the X-rated video, but the prime-time dribble of triviality we
drink in every night.”
― John PiperHunger for God

“It is about the greatness of God, not the significance of man. God made man small and the universe big to say something about himself.”
― John Piper

“All heroes are shadows of Christ”
― John Piper

“Adjust your doctrine - or just minimize doctrine - to attract the world, and in the very process of attracting them, lose the radical truth that alone can set them free.”
― John Piper

Christ- supreme, glorious, magnificent, personal and precious is that reward.
He is God’s final revelation.
He is the heir of all things.
He is the creator of the world.
He is the radiance of God’s glory.
He is the exact imprint of God’s nature.
He upholds the universe by the word of his power.
He made purification for sins
He sits at the right hand of the Majesty
He is God, enthroned forever, with a scepter of uprightness.
He is worshiped by angels.
His rule will have no end.
His joy is above all other beings in the universe.
He took on human flesh.
He was crowned with glory and honor because of his suffering.
He was the founder of our salvation.
He was made perfect in all his obedience by his suffering.
He destroyed the one who has the power of death, the devil.
He delivered us from the bondage of fear.
He is a merciful and faithful high priest.
He made propitiation for sins.
He is sympathetic because of his own trials.
He never sinned.
He offered up loud cries and tears with reverent fear, and God heard him.
He became the source of eternal salvation.
He holds his priesthood by virtue of an indestructible life.
He appears in the presence of God on our behalf.
He will come a second time to save us who are eagerly waiting for him.
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

6 Reasons Why You Should Leave Facebook

The number of people leaving Facebook is growing according to numerous articles. I myself left Facebook over a month ago. I have to admit that the first 2 weeks were rough. I was a Facebook junkie. I posted probably 7 or 8 times a day on average and had quite a number of "friends". So, leaving the social media site was not a walk in the park for me. That's kind of sad, but that's the way it was.

But by week 3 I found myself thinking less and less about it. And now I don't miss it at all. I did compensate a little by posting slightly more on Twitter, but to be honest I still have not realized the appeal of Twitter and do not find it very satisfying.

So what was my motivation for leaving? Simple... It's a distraction at best. At worst it's a hotbed for gossip, hatred, anger, and even a spring board for infidelity. It serves no true purpose other than to give a false feeling of acceptance and validation.

Disclaimer: This is not to say that everyone who uses Facebook is wasting their time or committing wrong. I have very dear friends on there still who are great people who simply enjoy the fellowship, including my own Fiance.

But, often the bad outweighs the good. So here are 6 reasons why leaving Facebook will greatly benefit your life, time, and relationships:

1. Time... We live in a world of media distractions. Television, Movies, Books, iPad, iPhone, Computers, Social media, Music, etc.. Your life will be enhanced the more of these you remove from the equation. Sacrificing 2 or 3 of the things that cause you to miss out on building REAL life relationships can do amazing wonders for your self-esteem and self-reliance. Pla

2. Privacy... We do not even fully grasp yet at how much Facebook is using your info for their various projects and advertisers. That is one aspect of Facebook's privacy breakdown. The second is the things you post. Do you remember when your friend went to the store to get their favorite brand of coffee, and you didn't even have to know about it? Now you know when they leave, what they are getting, and when they come back home, because they either post about it or their phone "checks in" from their various locations. Your friends know what you are watching on Netflix, What you are listening to on Spotify.. And why? I mean there are settings that turn off these features, but you practically need a blueprint to find how to shut them off. And I guarantee you that even though you shut off a feature, internally Facebook is keeping track.Go off the grid! Take control of your life again.

3. Relationships... I read an article recently that said that Facebook is destroying relationships. I experienced this myself. Some thought my form of humor was annoying. Some found my political posts were not in keeping with their beliefs and after a heated debate they blocked me, making any future real life encounters destined for awkwardness on a grand scale. It is destroying the real world for the sake of this virtual fantasy world where saying things in the moment have no real immediate consequences. But at the end of the day you still have to eventually see these people face to face. So shut up! And the best way to do that is remove Facebook all together and live in the real world.

4. Marriage... This needs a category beyond relationships. Another article I read online said 50% of all divorces site Facebook somewhere in their statements as part of the reason for the divorce. 50%!! In my opinion, if you are getting married, or are currently married, you have no business being on Facebook. Especially men. Your wife needs you, Your kids need you. Even if you just spend 30 minutes a day on Facebook, it's still time you could use fixing things around the house, reading, talking to your spouse and/or kids. There simply is no redeeming value beyond getting attention for clever posts or pictures that you post for the world to see. And, the only attention that you need at this time would be from those in your own home. Again, I am not condemning anyone who is married and on Facebook. I already miss out on hearing about upcoming events and other activities because people post them to Facebook thinking that covers everyone. But it's a small price to pay for me to nurture my upcoming new life with my wife and child. "Water your grass" and lead your family and you will have a happy marriage. You cannot do this if you have your face glued to a computer screen.

5. Infidelity... Again, another category that branches off of marriage. "What appears to be a harmless glance, turns to romance, and homes are divided..." (Steve Green song) Facebook has a way of making you entertain thoughts like "I wonder what my old high school sweetheart is up to." Or.. "It won't hurt if I have a private conversation with this woman, I'm just asking her how she's doing." It starts out innocent. But Satan loves innocent beginnings. He's like a kid in a candy store. You just let him in to your world where he can put "What if?" thoughts in your head. And the next thing you know your entire world is crashing down around you for nothing. It's like taking that first drink of alcohol. Run away from it. Get off of facebook and cling to your family. Cut yourself off from these things and you will reap huge benefit. Sacrifice is what you got married for in the first place. And trust me, you aren't missing much. Unless you just can't wait to read about some person you barely know's trip to the zoo and how the giraffe made the funniest noise.

6. God... There is nothing intrinsically sinful about Facebook. It's a social gathering site like the mall, or the coffee shop. However a lot of people cannot shake it. They check it incessantly throughout the day. They take pride in the amount of responses or likes they get. I know I did. So a lot of things can bring sin about in your life: pride, envy, hate, sexual sin, greed, etc... When you leave Facebook, do your best to fill that void with prayer and study of His Word. Give it two weeks, and I promise you won't even miss it. You will have more energy, more desire to get things done around your house. You will go against the "In" crowd, which feels amazing. You will have time to write, read, or do whatever hobby or activity you enjoy the most. For me I got back to this blog which was my first love before Facebook was even a foul thought in Mark Zuckerburg's head. And most of all you will have the opportunity to do something with your life that is more pleasing to God. Some have found a niche on Facebook where they can build on their ministry.. and that's great. Facebook CAN be a great thing if used for the Glory of God. But talking about how your kid pooped for the first time in the potty is not necessarily earth-shattering news for the Kingdom of God. Not a sin.. just not great time management.. and really.. nobody cares!

But like I always say..  What do I know?

Fun Facts

* Having a 6 year old has seriously ruined the street cred of my Netflix viewing history.

* Morning after pill for a 15 year old? That's cool... But catching them with a Big Gulp.. Now we've got ourselves a bit of a problem.

* Al Gore says we don't have much time left to take action against "global warming". He went on to say that if we don't act we could be very hot at certain times of the year and very cold at other times, and still other times we might just need a light jacket. Scary future indeed.

Undeniable Truths

* There is a God.

* God is perfect, just, and merciful.

* God is sovereign.

* If God weren't real, all our belief and faith could not conjure him up.

* If God is real, all of your disbelief and doubt cannot kill him.

* If there is even one rogue molecule in existence that is outside of God's control, then God is not God.

* Whatsoever comes to pass God does ordain.

* That means that Good AND Evil are both ordained by God.

The Atheist's Creed

This is one of my favorite poems because it keeps me grounded. As a Christian when I sin I often take a look at this poem and it reminds me that that sin and humanism ultimately lead to destruction.
Steve Turner wrote this poem years ago. It reminds us of how futile life would be if there weren't a God...

The Atheists Creed

We believe in Marxfreudanddarwin
We believe everything is OK
as long as you don't hurt anyone
to the best of your definition of hurt,
and to the best of your knowledge.

We believe in sex before, during, and
after marriage.
We believe in the therapy of sin.
We believe that adultery is fun.
We believe that sodomy’s OK.
We believe that taboos are taboo.

We believe that everything's getting better
despite evidence to the contrary.
The evidence must be investigated
And you can prove anything with evidence.

We believe there's something in horoscopes
UFO's and bent spoons.
Jesus was a good man just like Buddha,
Mohammed, and ourselves.
He was a good moral teacher though we think
His good morals were bad.

We believe that all religions are basically the same-
at least the one that we read was.
They all believe in love and goodness.
They only differ on matters of creation,
sin, heaven, hell, God, and salvation.

We believe that after death comes the Nothing
Because when you ask the dead what happens
they say nothing.
If death is not the end, if the dead have lied, then its
compulsory heaven for all
excepting perhaps
Hitler, Stalin, and Genghis Kahn

We believe in Masters and Johnson
What's selected is average.
What's average is normal.
What's normal is good.

We believe in total disarmament.
We believe there are direct links between warfare and
bloodshed.
Americans should beat their guns into tractors .
And the Russians would be sure to follow.

We believe that man is essentially good.
It's only his behavior that lets him down.
This is the fault of society.
Society is the fault of conditions.
Conditions are the fault of society.

We believe that each man must find the truth that
is right for him.
Reality will adapt accordingly.
The universe will readjust.
History will alter.
We believe that there is no absolute truth
excepting the truth
that there is no absolute truth.

We believe in the rejection of creeds,
And the flowering of individual thought.

If chance be
the Father of all flesh,
disaster is his rainbow in the sky
and when you hear

State of Emergency!
Sniper Kills Ten!
Troops on Rampage!
Whites go Looting!
Bomb Blasts School!
It is but the sound of man
worshipping his maker.

Christian Persecution Hits The Military

When you read the following story remember that they never say a word about Muslims sharing their faith, or Hindus, or Atheists.

From breitbart.com

The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis...”.

The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.
(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of “treason,” and of committing an act of “spiritual rape” as serious a crime as “sexual assault.” He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are “enemies of the Constitution.”)
Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law. Punishment for a court martial can include imprisonment and being dishonorably discharged from the military.
So President Barack Obama’s civilian appointees who lead the Pentagon are confirming that the military will make it a crime--possibly resulting in imprisonment--for those in uniform to share their faith. This would include chaplains—military officers who are ordained clergymen of their faith (mostly Christian pastors or priests, or Jewish rabbis)--whose duty since the founding of the U.S. military under George Washington is to teach their faith and minister to the spiritual needs of troops who come to them for counsel, instruction, or comfort.
This regulation would severely limit expressions of faith in the military, even on a one-to-one basis between close friends. It could also effectively abolish the position of chaplain in the military, as it would not allow chaplains (or any service members, for that matter), to say anything about their faith that others say led them to think they were being encouraged to make faith part of their life. It’s difficult to imagine how a member of the clergy could give spiritual counseling without saying anything that might be perceived in that fashion.
In response to the Pentagon’s plans, retired Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, who is now executive vice president of the Family Research Council (FRC), said on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning:
It’s a matter of what do they mean by "proselytizing." ...I think they’ve got their defintions a little confused. If you’re talking about coercion that’s one thing, but if you’re talking about the free exercise of our faith as individual soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, especially for the chaplains, they I think the worst thing we can do is stop the ability for a soldier to be able to exercise his faith.”
FRC has launched a petition here which has already collected over 60,000 signatures, calling on Secretary Hagel is stop working with Weinstein and his anti-Christian organization to develop military policy regarding religious faith.
**UPDATE**
The FRC petition has now exceeded more than 40,000 signatures at the time of this update.
